SMART SENSOR Sound Level Meter (AS824) detects sound pressure level and is widely used in noise pollution studies to quantify practically any noise, but particularly industrial, environmental, and airplane noise. A sound level meter is a standardized tool for measuring sound levels. It responds to sound in a similar fashion to the human ear and provides objective, repeatable measurements of sound pressure levels. Sound level meters are used to monitor and regulate noise from a number of sources, such as industrial facilities, road and rail activity, and construction sites. The Sound Level Meter includes a microphone, a preamplifier, signal processing, and a display.
